Singapore PR Applications FAQ
We believe strong immigration applications are built through understanding. Many applicants can prepare their own applications well once they understand how assessments work. Education reduces mistakes, unnecessary spending, and repeated rejections. Full services are offered only when genuinely needed.

Many people assume they are “too old” to apply. Approval rates indeed tend to be lower for applicants above their 50s, as age is one of the factors ICA considers. However, age alone does not disqualify an application. Each profile is assessed holistically. Different backgrounds, family situations, and contributions lead to different outcomes. We have assisted applicants in their 50s and 60s who successfully obtained PR. There is no fixed age cut-off.

Financial stability is relevant, especially if you are sponsoring dependents. However, there is no fixed income or asset threshold. We have seen retired sponsors on part-time work successfully sponsor long-term spouses, as well as young applicants with less than a year of work experience obtain PR. There is no single formula; outcomes depend on individual circumstances and ICA’s prevailing assessment criteria.
The short answer is no. Buying insurance does not guarantee PR approval. We take a holistic approach when helping applicants improve their profiles. While insurance may be one aspect of financial planning, it is not mandatory. Applicants can strengthen their profiles in many other areas and should not feel pressured to purchase financial products solely for PR purposes.
Social integration matters, but it does not have to be monetary or superficial. Genuine contribution can take many forms — volunteering at a child’s school, helping in the community, teaching skills at community clubs, or sharing professional knowledge. What matters is sincerity and consistency, not ticking boxes. Everyone contributes differently, and ICA looks at the overall picture.
